Donn Erwin Moser, 87, of Waveland passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Franciscan Health Lafayette.
Donn was born on Nov. 30, 1938, in Montgomery County, Indiana, to the late Harry and Naomi (Swanay) Moser. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County.
On Feb. 1, 1958, Donn married the love of his life, Anna Jean Fruits. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage.
After graduating from high school, Donn continued his education in Chicago to become an electrician. He worked with Hunt Electric before returning to take over the family farm, where he devoted more than 40 years to farming.
Donn served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1963. He was a faithful member of Browns Valley Christian Church. Throughout his life, he was actively involved in his community, serving on the Maple Ridge Cemetery Board and maintaining memberships in the Charlet & Cattle Association and the Conservation Association.
Donn is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Jean Moser; his two sons, Duane Moser (Pat) and Aaron Moser (Lorrie); his grandchildren, Megan (Cory) Keeling, Samantha Jordan, Will (Nick) Moser, Riley Moser, Macy (James) Conkright, and Kayla Morris; his great-grandchildren, Andrew, Briella, Luca, Remington, Bristol, Mason, Presley, Dutton, Millie and Tate. He is also survived by his sister, MaryAnn Groce, as well as 21 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donn was preceded in death by his brothers, Keith Moser and Karl Moser; his sister-in-law, Joan Moser; his brother-in-law, Clarence Groce; and his nephew, Mark.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11 at Servies Funeral and Cremation Services, 301 E. Green St., Waveland. Burial will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Army and the Byron Cox Post 72 Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the service time also at the funeral home.
