Elizabeth Ann Robinson was born July 27, 1932, in Crawfordsville, to Wallace Tharpe and Clara Hazel Sanford Weliver. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1950 and the Hawkeye Institute of Practical Nursing in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1959.

She worked at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa; Green Acres Medical Group in Crawfordsville; Public Loan Company in LaSalle, Illinois; and Bloomington Convalescent Center in Bloomington, Indiana. She managed AllCares Medical Service and worked as an emergency medical technician. She and her husband, Dick, owned and operated Julie Ann Fabrics in Crawfordsville.

Elizabeth volunteered with the American Red Cross, assisting disaster victims in North Carolina, Georgia, and twice in Texas. She also volunteered at Bloomington Hospital for many years. She received the Bravo Award from the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department, and she and Dick were named Bloomington’s Neighbors of the Year in 2003. She was an active member and former president of the Highland Village Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard “Dick” Robinson; her daughter, Valerie Ann Robinson Freeman, of Indianapolis; her brother, Robert Jack Weliver (Virginia), of California; and her brothers-in-law, James Robinson (Donna) and Larry Robinson (Maxine).

She is survived by three grandchildren, Aaron Karl Steele (Anne) of Detroit, Michigan, Amanda Leigh Steele, D.O. (Scott) of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Sarah Ann Grubb (Adam) of Long Beach, California; nieces, Melody Weliver Baird (Jim), Melissa Robinson Jackson (Tim), Andrea Robinson Smith and Pam Kent (Steve); nephew Tim Robinson (Kim); and three great-grandsons she loved dearly — Lucas, Clark, and Charlie.

She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville, with her husband, Dick.
