Helen L. Borders of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 4, 2026, at Franciscan Health of Lafayette. She was 76.
Born April 4, 1950, in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of John Kelso and Mary Frances (Jarvis) Kelso.
She attended Crawfordsville schools. She enjoyed Bingo, going shopping, gossiping and going on vacations with her sister.
Surviving family includes: two sons, Jeff Borders and Brian (Stephanie) Borders, both of Crawfordsville; sister Nancy Sarver of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Daegan, Stephanie, Kendra, Breanna and Dyllon; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jadlyn and Elijah.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Kelso.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1 p.m. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery South.
