Jena Jo Allen suddenly passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at the age of 48.
She was born May 12, 1978, in Crawfordsville, to Scott Allen and Mary Redmon Carter. Jena worked at Pace Dairy as a dock clerk. She enjoyed animals and anything related to nature, including birds and flowers. She volunteered at the Animal Welfare League even adopting furry friends. She was a volunteer for the Community Festival in Colfax and chair member of the Turning of the Leaves Festival in Thorntown. Jena was an amazing cook and loved listening to live music and taking pictures. Most of all she loved her family and friends.
Jena is survived by her partner, Dustin Leslie; mother Mary Carter; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Scott Allen, and her brother, Brad Allen.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. Graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington.
