Jerry Allen Richey of Crawfordsville passed away on Sunday morning, July 5, 2026, in his home, at the age of 83.
Jerry was an entrepreneur from an early age. He worked in real estate, collected coins, liked reading and learning new things. He served in the Army National Guard.
Born Sept. 10, 1942, in Scottsburg, Indiana, he was the son of Fred Woodrow Richey and Mildred Faye Richey. He graduated from Scottsburg High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in accounting.
Surviving family includes: sister Jeanne Stein of Michigan; three nephews, Jared, James and Jeffrey Stein; companion, Yolanda Rivera; his close friend and POA, Don Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Janet.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 10 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Ave., Crawfordsville. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Scottsburg Cemetery at 3 p.m. Friday.
