Judy K. Springer McClure, 79, of Crawfordsville passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, in her home.
She was born Oct. 19, 1946, in Crawfordsville, to the late Dale and Flossie Yaryan Springer. She was previously married to Ralph E. McClure with whom she had children.
Judy was raised in Waynetown and a 1964 graduate of Waynetown High School. She had resided in Lafayette and most recently with her daughter in Illinois before moving to Crawfordsville a month ago. She was employed by Tippecanoe School Corporation as a custodian. Over the years she was promoted to crew supervisor and head custodian.
Judy loved driving her ’67 Volkswagen Beetle and until her health failed she enjoyed woodworking … but she continued bird watching, reading and jigsaw puzzles. She was a lady of few words, but when you broke through her wall, you found a wonderful person inside.
Surviving are her children, daughter Jennifer Wall of Mulberry, son William ‘Burrette’ (Stacie) McClure of rural Crawfordsville, daughter Sammi (Gary) Bryant of Elmwood, Illinois, and son Ralph E. McClure III of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers,Tim Springer of Waynetown and Jerry Springer of Glasgow, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna Tuttle and grandson Jaxtyn.
Judy requested a private burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery and her family will hold a celebration of life, privately as well. Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting the family.
