Linda Susan Bushong, 74, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Lafayette.
She was born Nov. 16, 1951, in West Point, New York, to Edward and Dorothea Duncan.
On April 2, 1983, she married Larry “Homer” Bushong. She spent the next 37 years being a devoted wife until his passing in 2020.
Linda loved animals, gardening, and a great cup of coffee, but most importantly, she loved her children, Dorothea, Geoffrey and Jennifer.
Linda will be cremated and returned to her daughter to be laid to rest under a quiet apple tree with her late husband.
Surviving are her sisters, Marie (David) Davis, Dorothea (Mike) Guerra and Margaret Paddock, as well as her children, Dorothea (Gary) Walters, Geoffrey Williams and Jennifer (Randy) Wethington, and her nephew, Christopher Loman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
