Sandra (Coleman) Green, 84, of Crawfordsville passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.
She was born March 29, 1942, in Covington, to the late Robert and Ruth (Carter) Coleman.
Sandra graduated from Covington High School and Indiana State College, earning her bachelor’s degree in education. She married Louis Green on Dec. 21, 1963. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2025.
Sandra enjoyed music and regularly sang along with her sisters in a trio called The Three Delights. Sandra loved to study and read the Bible. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Sandra will be best remembered for her energetic laugh and creative ways in which she would play with her grandchildren. She loved people and always had a smile
Sandra is survived by three children, Robin (Andrew) Ballew, Troy (Julie) Green and LouAnn (Chris) Gonzalez; six grandchildren, Rachel (Clay) Horn, Heather (Derek) Stegeman, Caleb (Jessica) Ballew, Joshua (Madison) Ballew, Ayden (Fiancée Ella) Gonzalez and Isabella Gonzalez; and nine great-grandchildren, Elijah, Anjali, Emily, Andrew, Avery, Amelia, Luna, Wesley and Elowyn. She will also be missed by her sisters, Myra Deckard and Myrna (Al) Harden, several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Louis; her parents; sister Roberta Gibson; and brothers, Dale and Clyde Coleman.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 11 S. Stringtown Road, Covington, with Andrew Ballew officiating.
