Tamara J. McGaughey, 64, of Crawfordsville was welcomed into the gates of Heaven and reunited with her loved ones on June 2, 2026, at 5:35 p.m. surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of Edward L. and Madaline “Kay” (Peace) McGaughey.

Born on March 25, 1962, in Crawfordsville, Tammy was a graduate of Southmont High School in the class of 1980. She was raised in small town Ladoga. From a young age and throughout her childhood, she enjoyed riding in the oil truck with her father, riding bicycles through the small town, and visiting the family farm having an old-fashioned weenie roast. She built her life defined by family, resilience and an unwavering capacity to love others unconditionally.

She dedicated her life to family and her favorite activities. Whether she was outdoors mushroom hunting, attending ball games or just soaking up the sun. Her beautiful smile, laughter and relentless fight until the end will leave a lasting impact on everyone and those fortunate enough

to know her.

Tammy worked most of her adult life at Acuity Brands until her failing health caused her to retire.

She is survived by her loving children, Stephanie (Josh) Anglin, Kyle Reath and Kaylee (Bill) Cler; grandchildren, Kameron (Amy) Pfledderer, Karlie Pfledderer, Kolin Gillum, Jake Reath, Bristol Devitt and Bodie Devitt; brothers, Marty (Jona) McGaughey and David (Nancy) McGaughey; sister Judy (Gary) LaFoe; many nieces and nephews.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a memorial visitation to celebrate Tammy’s life on Sunday, June 7 from noon until 2 p.m. at Servies Funeral and Cremation Service, 203 N. Washington St., Ladoga.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation and Anew Hospice for the dedicated care given to their mother.
